Dioptase from The Tsumeb Mine in Namibia. This large triangular matrix is blanketed by lustrous emerald green Dioptase crystals. This specimen glitters with extraordinary luster and also has an extremely elegant display. Although Dioptase is regularly available on today's' market, undamaged crystal specimens such as this one from The Tsumeb Mine are getting harder and harder to find. The Famous Tsumeb locality in Namibia is an outrageously unique deposit for rare minerals, but the mine has been closed for many years.
