Tourmaline variety Schorl with Spessartine Garnet.  The highly lustrous Schorl crystal houses a perfectly terminated Spessartine Garnet crystal.  This single terminated Schorl crystal has a modified pinnacoidal termination and the deep red Garnet make for a great color contrast.  This a great combination specimen, and the arrangement has well balanced crystal grouping.  This specimen is part of a recent find in Gilgit, Pakistan.
