  • Rhodochrosite on Hematite from Santa Eulalia District, Chihuahua, Mexico.  A small vug of jet black hematite houses a lustrous face of deep red Rhodochrosite crystals.  This locality produced many specimens in its prime but nowadays good specimens are very hard to come by.   A layer of light pink rhodochrosite lines the Hematite base while larger rhodochrosite crystals line the top shimmer in the light.
