Tourmaline variety Schorl with Microcline and Muscovite.  Complex Pedals of Muscovite layer this specimen like the scales of a fish.  A large single crystal of white Microcline houses an undamaged black Tourmaline.  The highly lustrous Schorl crystal sits perfectly by itself.  This arrangement has well balanced crystal grouping, great color contrast.  This specimen is part of a recent find in Gilgit, Pakistan.
